UPCOMING EVENTS

Life Painting

Wed, June 18
6:30 - 9:00

This is NOT a typical, painting group. This is a fun, social, community group that meets to paint from a live, nude model and decompress from the stresses of everyday life. This is for those who want to paint in community but aren’t drawn to the “paint nite” vibes; those who want to try painting but don’t have all the materials & setup; those who want some painting support but don’t want to pay for an expensive class. There is inconsistent, spontaneous instruction that is generally focused on loosening up and letting go of perfectionism. There are no requirements for membership; this could be your first time touching a paint brush (although that would be weird). We want you and your energy - we don’t care about your resume.

Portrait Club

Thu, June 19
6:30 - 9:00

*Hi, I’m Larissa, David’s Fancy Executive Assistant, back at it with another event!

Portrait Club is kind of like Life Drawing, but with a twist -

You can be the model (if you’re into that), and you don’t have to be nude (unless that’s your vibe). Whoever does model gets to take home a bunch of original portraits of themselves, which is pretty cool if you ask me.

Red Tent

Fri, June 20
6:30 - 9:00

*This is Olivia Lopes, I’m organizing this event--I’d like to invite you to:

“Permission to look - an all-nude figure drawing communion for women + other gender minorities

This isn't really about drawing.

This is about stripping down to reclaim love of self and other through intimate proximity to and creative exploration of difference. Difference as real, as necessary, as vulnerable, as glorious. When we draw close to our differences--in a safe and creative space, together--we actively move into belonging. This is a radical move.

This is a nude event about meeting discomfort with kindness. So, take care of yourself. Bring a robe or underthings --whatever you'd like to help you navigate your own experience. You are your keeper.

*We welcome anyone with lived experience as a woman–past, present, or future–and all other gender minorities.”
