So. You want to be a model.
Fuck yeah. You’re being vulnerable as hell, and his space is the coolest to model in.
We hire from three buckets.
Bucket 1 - Group Member
You want to be on the other side of the canvas! Hell yeah. Group member is defined by; I honestly don’t know, but when you know, you know.
Bucket 2 - Professional Model
You model for figure-drawing groups and you’ve done it at least a few times.
Bucket 3 - Adding Diversity to the Roster
We get a lot of models who are thin, cis-gendered white bodies. We love them. And, we don’t want to reinforce the narrative that because those are the only bodies we look at, those are the normal, good bodies.
If you ‘re in one of these three buckets:
Email me (again, maybe) to set up a time to call. We’ll discuss how you can prepare for your modeling session! We’ll be talking prepping poses, props, etc.
General Ethos:
Go for dramatic > safe. Whatever voice is authentic to you -theatrical, athletic, classical - go hard! Don’t worry about being able to hold the poses perfectly.
Also, I encourage people to chat during the poses. This is not a class; people are loud, music is loud, it’s basically a big party.
Also: introduce yourself! You’re a person, not a prop.
Rate:
$100/2.5 hours. Also we can often find you a ride if you’re local.
